The driverless hoist has no dedicated operator/driver. The hoist is operated by users in a similar fashion to a permanent lift in a building. The hoist has an automated full logic controller, which receives, sorts, displays and activates commands from hoist car and landings in a directional sequence. The hoists are fitted with simple hoist car controls and landing controls. Operatives receive health and safety training during site induction on the operation and rules for the use of driverless hoists. Induction includes a handout with instructions and safety details. The driverless hoist has two modes of use, controlled by Site Management by means of a key switch in the base panel. Mode 1 Driverless Mode 2 Driver controlled Site Management logistic procedures will control any large loads, required to be lifted by the hoist. |
