The Leadenhall Building is to become part of the wonderful new collection of towers to fill the skyline of London. The new 47 storey building will rise to a height of 224 mtrs and will provide 612,000 sq ft of the highest quality office space in the City.
UBS has been working with the Bovis Lend Lease team for the last two years to identify the type and quantity of hoisting equipment required for a building of the unique shape and design. The use of large glazing panels has meant the introduction of large, 5mtr x 2mtr wide, high speed hoist cars with an operating speed of 96mtrs/min is paramount for a building of this height.
